Pennsylvania Innocence Project

Jeffrey M. Lindy, Esquire, is pleased to announce his appointment to the Pennsylvania Innocence Project Board of Directors. The Pennsylvania Innocence Project seeks to secure the exoneration, release from imprisonment, and restoration to society of persons who are innocent and have been wrongly convicted. The project also provides clinical training to students and collaborates with law enforcement agencies and the courts to address systemic causes of wrongful convictions.

Philadelphia Bar Association Board of Governors

Jeffrey M. Lindy, Esquire, a sole practitioner, was elected Assistant Treasurer of the Philadelphia Bar Association's Board of Governors.

Mr. Lindy has been active with the Philadelphia Bar Association for many years and has served in a variety of different leadership roles, including co-chairing the Civil Rights Committee. In addition to his local bar activities, since 1996, Mr. Lindy has been an officer of the Federal Bar Association's Criminal Law Committee (Eastern District of Pa. Chapter). Additionally, Mr. Lindy is a faculty member of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and, in recent years, has been appointed as a faculty instructor in training seminars for federal court-appointed attorneys.

The Education Foundation of Lower Merion Board of Directors

Jeffrey M. Lindy, Esquire, is pleased to announce that he will be serving on the Board of Directors of the Education Foundation of Lower Merion (“EFLM”). The mission of the EFLM is to provide a fundraising vehicle for the entire community’s voluntary support of programs and activities enhancing the educational experience of all Township public school students, consistent with the goals and policies of the Lower Merion School District. The EFLM is a non-profit institution and operates independently from the School District.

Jeffrey M. Lindy, Esquire, is pleased to announce that Paul McElhaney has become the first Democrat in the history of the Township to win the Ward 3 Commissioner’s seat. Mr. Lindy served as Committee Chair.

U.S. Military Academy Constitutional Law, West Point, NY

Jeffrey M. Lindy, Esquire, is pleased to announce his invitation to be a guest lecturer in West Point’s Law Department. Mr. Lindy will present a lecture on Fourth Amendment jurisprudence and lead a seminar discussion on the Due Process Clause. Both classes will be attended by senior Cadets majoring in legal studies.

Jeffrey M. Lindy, Esquire, is pleased to announce that he has been appointed as faculty instructor to participate in three-day seminar entitled, “Multi-Track Federal Criminal Defense Seminar: Strategies for Defending Complex Cases.” The seminar is designed to assist experienced attorneys in private practice who receive appointments from the Federal Court to represent indigent defendants in criminal matters. Seminar course offerings included trial tactics, lay and expert witness examination, pretrial motion practice, developments in the law, and sentencing strategies. Mr. Lindy will teach courses pertaining to the use of forensic mental health experts.
