Lindy to Serve on Board of Directors
of the Philadelphia Research & Education Foundation
Jeffrey M. Lindy, Esquire, a sole practitioner in Philadelphia, has been appointed by the U.S. Veterans Administration to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Research & Education Foundation ("PREF"). PREF is a non-profit corporation established by the VA Medical Center at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia to oversee the management of research and educational funds obtained by the VA. PREF is organized exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes. Mr. Lindy is one of only two non-VA members appointed from the community.
Lindy Honored as “Emissary for Justice” by Pennsylvania Legal Services
Jeffrey M. Lindy, Esquire, in a special ceremony held at the offices of the Philadelphia Bar Association, was honored as an "Emissary for Justice" by Pennsylvania Legal Services. Mr. Lindy received his award from Pennsylvania Legal Services' Executive Director Sam Milkes, who traveled to Philadelphia from Harrisburg specifically for the awards ceremony. Mr. Lindy was recognized for the role that he played as Chair of the Bar Association's Board of Governors for supporting the passage of the Access to Justice Act.
Lindy Receives “Access to Justice Act” Award
Jeffrey M. Lindy, Esquire, is a recipient of Pennsylvania Legal Services "Access to Justice Act" Award. Mr. Lindy is receiving recognition for his efforts in support of the passage of the Access to Justice Act. Along with others, Mr. Lindy will be honored on February 25 when Pennsylvania Legal Services hosts its annual awards banquet.
Lindy Named President of Bala Cynwyd's Civic Association
Jeffrey M. Lindy, Esquire, a resident of Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, became the President of Bala Cynwyd's civic association, "The Neighborhood Club of Bala Cynwyd" as of January 1, 2003. Mr. Lindy, the former Chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association's Board of Governors, was Vice President of the civic association in 2002, and Secretary in 2001. The Neighborhood Club of Bala Cynwyd, one of the oldest civic associations in the Delaware Valley, regularly monitors commercial development, zoning, safety and security issues, and is a frequent presence at County and Township hearings and meetings.
